And in March of this year we got the second half of that season. Then, in August 2010, the first 13 episodes were compiled again for a single volume release. They only released the first 13 episodes this way. (Please note: there's no Blu-ray release for some unknown reason.) Initially they released the series in four to five-episode allotments. A few episodes come close this season, but the rest are pretty 'meh.'įor a look at reviews of season two,� check out our Batman: The Brave and the Bold page!� Quite annoyingly, Warner has been taking their sweet time properly releasing this series on DVD. It's pretty hard to top the Music Meister. But Season 2: Volume 1 is a little bit of a letdown, especially compared to the dynamic end of Brave and the Bold: Season 1. Perhaps the show turns around in its final 13 episodes – I'm not sure. I haven't personally watched the second half of season two just yet. Pretty much all the episodes in between are either a tad uninvolved or simply uninspired. But there are also plenty of clunky episodes. "The Super-Batman of Planet X!," "Clash of the Metal Men!," "Chill of the Night!" and "A Bat Divided!," just to name a few. There are a lot of fun episodes here, though. Instead, the show just seems to be going through the motions, with all of its sharper ideas spent in the first 26 episodes. Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 left off however, this season isn't quite as interesting or refreshing as the first. Season 1 of Batman: The Brave and the Bold was a delightful deviation from the darker Batman material out there, be it live action, comic and animated. And while the show does, in some ways, pay homage to a campier era of the caped crusader, it also manages to blend several different characters and worlds together for one damn entertaining show.
